AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Certification Course: April 25-27th, 2025
The AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) Program teaches climbing instructors to proficiently facilitate and instruct the sport of rock climbing in a single pitch setting. The SPI is the only internationally recognized single pitch climbing instructor certification program in the United States.
This 3 day (27 hours) course is the prerequisite for preparing for the separate 2 day SPI Exam to gain certification. For additional information and for prerequisites, please go to www.amga.com or reach out to me directly.
Course Dates: Friday, April 25th - Sunday, April 27th / 7:30am - 5pm each day (27 hours)
Course Location: South Central Pennsylvania crags. Locations could be at sites within 1 hour in any direction from Harrisburg and will be determined based on weather.
This course will be taught by Ryan Shipp. He is AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor Provider, Single Pitch Instructor Provider, and Multi-Pitch Instructor with 20+ years of guiding/instructing experience. Contact Shipp@levitationclimbing.com or 717.514.7856 for additional info.
